Wake on LAN for UPnP devices
My Samsung TV only shows up in the "Available players" menu when it's turned on. So I always have to go turn it on, wait for a bit and then retry.
Maybe Yatse could remember the previous players (simply the last one, the last X, or the ones that I marked as "sticky" manually) and offer to wake them when I select them?

99% of devices does not support WOL so it would not be very useful. I'm sorry but you'll need to continue to turn on the TV.
Is that so? 100% of the UPnP devices in this household do support it: that Samsung TV (and probably all of them), an Onkyo receiver, my Raspberry Pi with Kodi (not a rare device either) and my Windows PC with Kodi (pretty much any PC supports it).
Yatse already remember and try to reconnect to previous player.
True, but that only works if the player is online. So the "waiting for previous renderer" dialog could have a button "Wake it up" in addition to "Cancel".

Just for the record rpi does not support WOL ....
Most Samsung TVs does not support WOL too : https://www.domoticz.com/wiki/Samsung\_TV
Same for Onkyo.
Do not mix WOL and things that have some possible API to be woken UP. There's a major difference there.
So to resume on your list yes most PC does support it, but nearly no one will have a PC as UPnP target from Yatse.
