Disconnect Yatse without needing to delete host.

Description

If someone else is using Kodi, yatse will stay connected on my phone murdering the battery. It will also obnoxiously keep the lock screen widget displayed which cannot be swiped away.

Well you can't at the same time ask Yatse in settings to always control Kodi (Notification / Lockscreen) and want that it does not do that.

Those options are here to control Kodi outside of Yatse. There's no possible way to know if Kodi is doing something started from Yatse of from someone else.

Either you disable those options and don't use them, or well you use them but they work for Kodi as a whole.

All of that is immaterial. Yatse is continuously polling Kodi, killing the battery. I want to be able to just disconnect Yatse. One would assume just closing the application is enough to do this. Obviously it it isn't. It should be.

If you activate options like Notification / Lock screen controls or use widgets no it should not....

All those are off by default.

All explained in the FAQ. https://yatse.tv/redmine/projects/yatse/knowledgebase/articles/18

So as I said disable the options that you did activate and the problem will be gone, you can't blame Yatse for doing things you ask it to do.

And I'd love to see Yatse graph using your battery a lot even in those cases. The only possible way for Yatse to really use more battery when something is playing is if you are connected to Kodi not normally but in streaming mode via UPnP. In that case press stop cast in the cat button ;)

All that can be easily seen with logs.

Still immaterial. I want those options on, for when I am using Kodi. How hard is it for you to understand that a simple master "disconnect from this host" is what is being asked of here? I mean honestly, why so obtuse about it?

Just now, someone else in the house started up Kodi in another room and yet my phone now has he lock screen widget active, despite the fact I haven't opened the yatse app in days, possibly weeks.

So yatse has been actively polling Kodi in that entire time.

Jesus... Just add a disconnect option.

Lol so you really do not want to read?

What you want is a total nonsense ...... Lockscreen controls and Notifications are for use when outside Yatse... Yet you say you want them only when using Yatse. Do you see the problem here ?

It's android there's no such things as using or not using an app when the application is not in front. What you need is the disable lock screen option to be able to control directly when having Yatse in front.

And no Yatse does not poll non stop without reason, it's smart enough to be battery friendly.

So to resume here: the only obtuse I see, is you that refuse to try to understand that you can't have an option for case X and at the same time do not have that option for the same case X.

How hard is it to understand is the perfect question so I'm returning it.

So I'm now closing this. Either understand the situation and uncheck the options you do not want, or well use another application. A disconnect option will never be implemented because it's absurd and represent absolutely nothing from any possible point of view.
